Wild Woman
What does it mean?
The ones who cannot be tamed.
I’ve been told I am a Wild Woman. Although I never considered it before, I just am who I am.
I’ve touched the longing
where appetite for food disappears
but a deep hunger to feel everything rumbles.
As I speak, I feel my words roll over my tongue,
reverberate down my throat,
and play my womb.
An insatiable desire for life to pour through.
My soul, much louder than the “shoulds”.
Like lightning crackling and unveiling the dark sky.
I walk through generations of fire because I’ve never feared what lives behind closed doors.
I nurture that same darkness with love, curiosity, and innocence.
And then they wonder how we do it.
Where we find the courage.
That’s what it means to be a Wild Woman
To love where love has been condemned,
To look where others won’t,
Wild Woman,
You are what keeps the Earth pulsating with life, inspiration, and love.
A golden chamber of wisdom and alchemy.
My heart is open, to this world and you.
For we know, innocence and darkness were never rivals. But rather, dance like lovers, healing one another.
Darkness alone is undeniable despair, pain without meaning. Innocence alone, untested purity.
Interlaced, when purity of the heart meets the underworld of shadow, clarity and homecoming is felt.
To hold boundaries, without losing our hearts.
To descend, without losing ourselves.
When innocence touches darkness, it does not judge or shame.
It makes room.
And fiercely whispers, “You belong too.”
Knowing it was never evil, only the un-loved parts of you and this world.
To hold both at once, bathed in unwavering love…
this is what it means to be Wild.
