Birthday Suits

I think the most confusing thing was, nothing was wrong.
But nothing was right either.
And sometimes the inbetween can feel just as devastating.

So after years of wearing a uniform,
I decided to run wild in my birthday suit.

Like an eagle out of a cage,

First I trembled,

Then I flew.

Soon it became apparent,

I only needed to find the bravery to be me.

And the cage had never even been true.
